Vivint DTH Sales
One of the major parts of being a designer at Vivint is to support the direct to home sales teams. From creating apps and websites to designing gear and events, the goal is to make sure the sales reps are always motivated and have the tools they need to succeed. When doing designs for this part of the company it’s encouraged to think outside the box and focus on the performance of systems. From this work, I created and led a new UXUI team dedicated to our sales force, creating new award-winning sales apps and materials.
Connect - Sales Enablement App
When I joined Vivint, I inherited ownership of Connect, an internal door-to-door sales app that had become essential- but also infamous for constant crashes and poor usability. Built in Adobe InDesign and hosted on a soon-to-be-deprecated platform, it was holding back thousands of sales reps in the field.
Recognizing both the pain points and the potential, I led a complete rebuild of the app from the ground up, migrating it to a new, more stable platform (Tiled) and redesigning the entire user experience around the real needs of the sales force. My focus was on speed, clarity, and reliability- making it effortless for reps to access sales materials, competition insights, legal documents, and key app links on the go, no matter where they may be, online or offline. From the logo design to the individual product icons, ever piece of the app was redesigned, reconsidered, and reimagined.
Over the next two years, I ran continuous review cycles, user interviews, and feedback sessions that drove multiple major releases. Each iteration introduced meaningful UX and performance improvements, ultimately reducing app downtime to under 5% and restoring confidence in the product. Usage skyrocketed from roughly 200 active users to more than 4,000 during the initial launch season, and subsequently lead to some of the most successful summer sales seasons in recent years- a clear sign of regained trust and real-world impact.
Beyond the numbers, Connect became a vital communication bridge between corporate leadership and the sales team— streamlining training, ensuring compliance, and improving overall sales efficiency. I also collaborated closely with the Tiled product team, identifying bugs, shaping new features, and building a strong partnership that benefited both companies.
This project exemplifies how I approach design: identify the friction, engage real users, rebuild with purpose, and deliver an experience that works beautifully in the moments that matter most. Thoughtful, intentional, and data-driven design decisions not only improve the experiences of tools used every day, but it impacts the bottom line.

Additional App Design
In addition to leading the redesign of the Connect app, my role at Vivint extended into conceptualizing, designing, and launching new digital sales tools while modernizing legacy systems that the field and corporate teams relied on daily.
I worked closely with sales leadership, marketing, and training teams to identify friction points in the selling process and uncover opportunities where design could make an immediate, measurable impact. This included developing new pay calculators, quote builders, and onboarding tools that simplified complex product information and empowered and motivated reps to find new customers.
Beyond new initiatives, I also audited and refreshed existing tools, many of which had grown outdated or inconsistent across teams—bringing them up to modern standards in both usability and brand alignment. These updates improved adoption rates, reduced onboarding time, and ensured a unified experience across all touchpoints of the sales journey.
Through this body of work, I focused on bridging the gap between design and sales enablement—creating intuitive, scalable solutions that helped the organization operate more efficiently and communicate more effectively. Each project reinforced my belief that thoughtful UX and strong visual systems are powerful drivers of clarity, confidence, and connection within any sales organization.
